READY TO GO!

After many months away from the spotlight, we have been busy putting together the exciting next phase of our trademark racecar. Now powered by a RB26/30 and backed by a gf2000 clutchless gearbox, we arent far from hitting the track. All that remains is the water system, a few adjustments/changes to the suspension/chasis.

How ever having run a best of 8.0 previously when the car was setup with an Automatic and Single Cam Engine, we are confident on improving this with our new setup. Stay tuned….!

Turbo Ford EL 9.15 @ 150mph

A few weeks ago at Calder Park Raceway one of our customer cars smashed their old pb leaving the start line very strong all night recording a best time of 9.14 @ 150mph. Its not often you see an EL Falcon lift both wheels! As many of you would know, we have developed allot of parts for the 4ltr ford engine and one being our aftermarket FORD Intake Plenum. Back to back dyno tests with the standard plenum show increased power, torque and responsiveness from our intake plenum. Like our RB30 Intake Plenum this ford intake plenums are fully cast 601 alloy then hardened & CNC machined for extra strength & durability for the life span of the intake manifold.

10seconds & counting

On the 28th of of May, Rab’s stunningly presented SR20 was out testing a new 3 speed at the legal off street drags @ Calder Park Raceway. On his first and only pass for the Rab’s stopped the clocks at 10.8 and his night came an early end due Calder Park safety rules – No cage fitted for those times. Were still confident that there is more room for improvement from this setup and will be back out trying to better Rab’s new PB. We are currently working on a couple big hp SR20′s as they have become the latest flavour of the month. Stay tuned for more updates!

Next Step. GF2000 CLUTCHLESS GEARBOX

As many of you would know, our racecar has housed a 2 speed power glide for a long time. FInally, after many years of racing and a PB of 8.08 seconds, It was decided to retire the 2 speed gearbox and have purchased a GF2000 CLUTCHLESS GEARBOX for our race car. The gearbox was measured and fitted this week and we are waiting on some final tin work to be completed before we begin testing. We are happy to announce that whilst we are very excited about the new change to our car, our new RB30/26 combination is complete and will be putting BOTH our Single cam & Twin cam through its paces within the next couple of weeks of testing. Heathcote Park – Boxing Day Test & Tuning

Last week we decided to head up to Heathcote Park Raceway for the Boxing Day meet. It has been a while since Alan has been behind the wheel so not only was it a great chance to clock up track time  for Alan but to also do some testing as we have been trying various new combinations together with our new parts available for the rb30 engine, for example: Injector Plate, fuel rail kits, cam kits etc.

Our best time for the day was 8.79 @ 156mph. Overall it was a good day out even though we couldnt get a clean take off but we did identify some minor bugs which we are currently working on as we speak.

Calder Park – Dee’s SR20 goes 9.8!!

Fridays off-street drag session at Calder Park saw a few of our customers set new PB’s. 

Our long time customer Dee set a new personal best in his sr20 powered 180sx early in the night. He managed to stop the clocks at 9.88 @ 140mpg however due to Calder Park racing rules, 140+ requires a parachute and that ended his night early.

After a practice launches, Hamoud managed to pilot his LE down the track for a new pb of 10.62 @ 131mph.

Other highlights included Luke Jones who was down from NSW who managed a few back to back 9.7 passes.
